She has conducted all-state honor choirs in Wyoming, Montana, and Mississippi, and is known throughout the Northwest for her work with young musicians.
The Casper Children's Chorale was founded in 1979 with the goal of providing a positive choral experience for young singers for their musical enjoyment and self-growth intellectually, physically, socially, and aesthetically. Membership is open to boys and girls in fourth through the eighth grades. Each May, approximately 200 singers audition for the 75 voice chorale.
During the past 21 years, the Chorale has toured throughout Wyoming presenting musical programs for children and community audiences. The Children's Chorale has been chosen through taped auditions to perform at state, regional, and national music educator conventions. The young singing ambassadors from Casper have performed in Los Angeles, Billings, Denver, Portland, Spokane, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington D.C., sharing their love of music and their pride in Wyoming.
